A 10-Year-Old Boy Dies in Kenya After Falling From A Four-Storey Building A family in Kitengela is in mourning after their 10-year-old son died after falling from a four-story building in Kitengela, Kajiado County, Kenya. The fourth-grade student is said to have been playing with other children on the fourth floor of the building before he slipped off and suffered serious injuries.
The boy was rushed to a private hospital nearby, but upon arrival, he was pronounced dead.
The boy had suffered a severe skull injury and had lost a lot of blood when he was brought to the facility, according to a medical officer there.
While urging the National Construction Authority (NCA) to ensure that storey buildings adhere to safety standards, shocked neighbors milled about the structure.
To lose such a young boy is heartbreaking. This is a tragedy that any parent could experience. Ann Mumbe, an eyewitness, stated, “We want to urge NCA to ensure that storey buildings meet safety precautions to prevent such cases.”
In addition, neighbors urged parents to always take precautions in areas where children play to prevent incidents like these.
