62 NDC regional executive hopefuls were examined

62 candidates who filled out forms to compete for executive positions in the Ashanti Region have been successfully vetted by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
One candidate who filled out the forms did not show up for vetting at the Kumasi party office. Sylvester Mensah, a member of the Vetting Committee, claims that the procedure’s guidelines were reorganized and any loopholes were closed to ensure a smooth screening. Mr. Mensah stated that engagements at the constituency level to develop the vetting guidelines were the reason for the process’s success. In order to prevent the ruling NPP from carrying out its plan to break the 8 in the 2024 general election, the former boss of NHIS urged members of the NDC to cast their ballots for candidates who are eager for success. Aspirants were urged by party leaders, including Samuel Sarpong, to run campaigns free of insults and anything else that would damage the party’s reputation. Damba Adam, a candidate for Regional Treasurer, suggested that the party should concentrate more on strengthening its structures from the branch level to the national level.
