Okupe: The APC invited NURTW members from Oyo, Osun For the Lagos Rally

Doyin Okupe, Director-General of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council, has mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo,’s rally in Lagos State.
According to Akahi News, the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee held a solidarity rally on Sunday morning in support of Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate.
Okupe claimed in an interview with Channels Television on Sunday night that some of the participants in the rally were brought in from Osun, Oyo, and other states in the South West.
He stated that Mc Oluomo’s rally could not be compared to the “Obidients” rallies that were held throughout the state on October 1.
Okupe went on to say that the APC’s rally was in the South West, not in Lagos, and that the ruling party is playing “catch-up” with the LP.
He stated, “One of the best things about this era is that a party that has only been around for four months now has such strong leadership that parties that have been around for more than 20 years are playing catch-up, which is not very well done.
I would like to commend the APC for its efforts today. You didn’t see a Lagos rally. We are a highly sophisticated group that is youth-driven and youth-powered.
In our laboratory, we have conducted a forensic analysis of the rally tape.We discovered that others can recognize individuals from Oyo, Osun, and so forth, while I can recognize approximately four to five people from my federal constituency.
“What you saw this morning was not really a Lagos rally but rather a rally in the South West.It is a fair comparison to the events in Festac if presented as a Lagos rally.
“You will recall that the Obidents LP rally on October 1 took place in Lekki, Festac, Ikeja, and Surulere—four distinct locations—in an unprecedented and organic manner.
“What you saw today in Lagos was nothing compared to any one of them (referring to the four locations), maybe even on par with one of them,” the statement reads.
Having observed the LP movement, the APC’s accomplishments are still approximately a quarter of ours.
“We did a forensic study of the tape, and 60% and 70% of those who participated were members of an institution called NURTW,” the statement reads.
