BLIND TRADITIONS, A Poem By Igbokwe Matthew

Published

BLIND TRADITIONS
Even when the light comes lucidly
Desperate they are
Leaning on ruinous traditions
Dwelling awarely in ignorance
In gloomy abyss

The grey- haird
Are not always wise
Wrinkled skin bring not wit
dim eyes does not bring wisdom
Amnesiarised by diabolical culture

Lakes and Laggards
Stubbornly primitive
In this computer age
Depriving even ancestors
of rest at death

Pandemonium and disarrey reigns
As the Crown travels eternally
With city as silent as graveyard
As men and women quaver
Fleeing the terror of men hunter

Innocent aliens souls sabbotaged
As the deadly tradition commands
Shops closed,  Market quieted
Houses silent,Movement restricted
and men turned turned watchmen

Diabolically and custom blinded
Worshipping their crafts product
Feeding stones with balanced diet
While children lies farmised
And wives skeleton like

Are you so blinded
After days of sacrificing
Still come back with other meal
Seeing the remnant diet of yore
Eaten by Dogs, goats and worms

Come on oh deceived beings
Wake up and be wise
serve the CREATOR not the Created
See Truth in the Holy Scriptures
And be free from your cruel yokes
IGBOKWE MATTHEW.
