“To collaborate and adopt a pan-Nigerian political platform that will foster unity, inclusion, and a sense of community among Nigerian citizens.

“Conscious of Nigeria’s multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multi-cultural configuration, we believe that voting according to religious lines and a ticket of the same faith may cause dangerous dimensions of negative consequences among our disparate peoples in ways that will impede the development of the nation. As a result, we have agreed not to support political attacks on sensitive religious issues but rather to focus on issues that bring us closer together as a people.
The communique stated, “In view of the foregoing, we have agreed to establish a committee with the mandate to fashion strategies for advancing the objectives set forth in this resolution.”

Mukhtari Shagari, Boni Haruna, Abdulfatah Ahmed, Damishi Sango, Senator Idris Ahmed Umar, Yomi Awoniyi, Simon Achuba, and Ummara Kumalia were also present at the meeting.
