Edo CP Removes DPO Over Killing Of Suspect Who Attacked Apostle Suleman’s Convoy

The Divisional Police Officer of Auchi Division, Ayodele Suleiman, has been fired by Abutu Yaro, the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, for allegedly killing a suspect who was arrested for attacking Apostle Johnson Suleman’s convoy.
It is anticipated that the suspended DPO will attend the state police command for a debriefing.
In a statement, the command’s Deputy Public Relations Officer, Jennifer Iwegbu, stated that the DPO’s withdrawal was one of the measures taken to determine the circumstances surrounding one of the suspects’ death.
“The outgoing CP has ordered the withdrawal of CSP Ayodele Suleiman, DPO Auchi for debriefing at the State Headquarters with immediate effect,” according to Iwegbu.
He assured the public that no stone would be left unturned in the circumstances surrounding the incident and urged them to maintain their composure and patience.
Apostle Suleman claimed, as previously reported by Akahi News, that the security agency had reportedly killed the suspect who was arrested by vigilantes and turned over to the police.
In a tweet, the cleric said that the police were trying to get rid of any evidence that could help them catch his attackers.
