Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan set to produce Anikulapo as series

A series based on Kunle Afolayan’s smash hit film Anikulapo is in the works.
In an Instagram post, one of the movie’s leading actors, Kunle Remi, announced the good news.
The 33-year-old added that the upcoming series will answer questions about the movie.
He wrote, in part, about moments from the movie set:
“The journey just began… the director has confirmed that the series to come contains all unanswered questions.”
Bimbo Ademoye, an actress, also said that Anikulapo will be made into a series.
After a fan inquired about the possibility of a second part, the 31-year-old made the announcement in an Instagram post.
The Sterling-identified fan wrote:
“Queen B is a fantastic film; I could not put it down.Nko, how about part two?”
The actress responded, “We are working on it.”
Anikulapo tells the story of Saro, a traveling cloth weaver played by Kunle Remi, who was killed for having an affair with Arolake, the youngest wife of the Alaafin, played by Bimbo.
He is brought back to life by a mysterious bird, who leaves behind a gourd with the ability to raise the dead.
The film stars Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Taiwo Hassan, Faithia Williams, and Adebayo Salami. It is set in the 17th-century Oyo Empire.
Moji Afolayan, Kareem Adepoju, Yinka Quadri, Aisha Lawal, Ropo Ewenla, Adewale Elesho, Sunday Omobolanle, and Toyin Afolayan are among the other individuals.
Special appearances are made by Yemi Elebuibon, Kunle, and his daughter, Eyiyemi Afolayan.
