Leipzig Manager Describes Nkunku Chelsea Move As ‘Speculation’



Marco Rose, manager of RB Leipzig, has called claims that Christopher Nkunku has already committed to joining Chelsea “speculation.”

The French international is close to signing a new contract with the London team, according to Akahi News.
However, it was also emphasized in the report that the Leipzig forward is weighing his options.
It is believed that Nkunku passed his physical and signed a pre-contract with the Blues.If the France international decides to join Stamford Bride, his £52.7 million release clause will kick in next summer.
The German manager responded as follows when asked to confirm the report during a UEFA Champions League (UCL) pre-match conference against Celtic:We do not comment on it because it is speculative.We have no interest at all.
Graham Potter, manager of Chelsea, was also cautious when asked about the Nkunku rumors.
Potter stated to the media,My response is that I never discuss players who are not Chelsea players.Brighton was the same way.Although there are numerous names, I will only discuss Chelsea players and not anyone else.
Potter responded, “We can spend all day with these questions, but I’m not going to speak about this,” when asked if he would be interested in signing Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo by January.I won’t speak to them if they are not our players.
The 24-year-old scored 20 goals and contributed 13 assists in the league last year, and he has already scored six goals in the 2022–23 season.
