Adio Adeyemi, a doctor from Kaiama General Hospital, has been apprehended by the Kwara State Police for allegedly kidnapping and killing two women.

In 2021, the suspect is said to have kidnapped and killed his girlfriend Ifeoluwa and a housewife named Nofisat Halidu.
While the housewife’s husband reported his wife missing in Kaiama, Ifeoluwa went missing in the Tanke area.
SP Ajayi Okasanmi, the Public Relations Officer for the Police, provided a comprehensive account of how the bodies of the deceased were discovered on Sunday.
The fact that the suspect’s office contained the bodies was explained by the police.
“On assumption of office as Commissioner of Police, Kwara State, while going through some petitions written by some citizens, a particular case struck the CP, Paul Odama, regarding a reported case of one missing lady, Nofisat Halidu, in Kaiama, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, on November 21, 2021,” was one portion of the statement.
“The case’s investigation began on September 30, 2022, per the CP’s order.Based on the arrest and confession of Dr. Adio Adeyemi Adebowale in Edo State, who confirmed that he killed his girlfriend Ifeoluwa, who was reported missing in the Tanke area of Ilorin sometime in 2021 and whose body was later found in a bush in the Alapa area of Ilorin, where he dumped it, we are working on a lead.
He stated that the suspect was also the Chief Medical Director of the Kaiama General Hospital, which the police later led a team to.
When they broke into his office, they found freshly cemented floor tiles. When the tiles were broken, they found a shallow grave containing the decomposing body of an unknown woman.
They also found a second body in the office, which was later determined to be the housewife who had been reported missing.

Okasammi added, “The Kwara CP has contacted the Edo State Police Command in furtherance of the investigation requesting the release of the suspect to the Kwara State Police Command to answer some questions regarding the discoveries in his office.”
