N4.7bn spent producing BBNaija Season 7 – Organisers

The organizers of the television reality show Big Brother Naija have disclosed that more than N4.7 billion was spent on the production of season 7.
During the prize presentation on Tuesday in Lagos to Josephine Otabor, more commonly referred to as Phyna, the winner of the “Level Up” edition, John Ugbe, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, made the disclosure.
According to the Nigerian news agency News Agency, Phyna won the show and took home the N100 million grand prize.
The grand prize includes, among other mouthwatering items, a brand-new Innoson Motors SUV, a Dubai trip for two, a year’s supply of Pepsi, a Camon 19, a supply of Unik soap, and a supply of Nexus home appliances.
Additionally, Ugbe stated that the show saw the casting of more than one billion votes.
He thanked the housemates for providing top-notch entertainment throughout the show and thanked the media and fans for their ongoing support.
“The cost of production for the seventh season of the show was N4.7 billion, and we also received over one billion votes throughout the show.
The Big Brother Naija show has empowered over 1,200 individuals, including fashion designers, carpenters, interior decorators, photographers, and others, in addition to providing entertainment.
He stated, “Today, this show significantly contributes to the Nigerian economy.”
Earlier, Multichoice Nigeria’s Executive Head of Content, West Africa Channels, Busola Tejumola stated that it was satisfying to invest over N4.7 billion in the show’s production.
According to Tejumola, the show provided a platform for the demonstration of viable talents, the creation of jobs, and individual Nigerians achieving fame and fortune.
She stated that the fact that the Level Up season received over one billion votes in total demonstrated that viewers were fully engaged with premium content.

The show’s winner, Phyna, received a check for N50 million and her new SUV.
Phyna, who was known as the “content queen,” screamed and begged her former housemates to take pictures with her.

“I am grateful to God and Biggie for the opportunity to participate in the show. It has taken me four years of attempts to participate in the show, but on my fifth attempt, I was successful.
