NECO GCE Timetable for 2022 SSCE External Candidates

The schedule for the External candidates of the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) has been made public by the management of the National Examinations Council (NECO). 

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the schedule for the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for external candidates. See the schedule for NECO GCE below.

NECO GCE Exam Date

Candidates in their final year of secondary education take this exam. There are two sections to the SSCE. The first is SSCE Internal, which is offered to candidates who are in their third and final year of Senior Secondary Education. The second is SSCE External, which is offered to candidates who are not enrolled in the educational system and are referred to as Private Candidates.

The 2022 NECO GCE Timetable states that the exam will begin on Monday, November 21 and conclude on Wednesday, December 21.

Candidates in their final stage of Secondary School Education take this exam. There are two types of the SSCE. The first is called SSCE Internal and is for candidates in their third and final year of Senior Secondary Education. The second is called SSCE External and is for candidates who are not enrolled in the school system, also known as Private Candidates.
The administration of the Senior School Certificate Examination for External Candidates is another essential component of the Council’s mandate as outlined in the enabling law.

The NECO SSCE Ext Registration fee is:
Seventeen Thousand Eight Hundred Naira (N17,800.00) only.
Stamp Duty N50.00.
All payments should be made into NECO Treasury Single Account (TSA) SSCE (E) NECO portal.

*Note

Candidates sitting for Mathematics and Physics are required to purchase Four Figure Table.

NOTE:

  • Candidates should confirm the specific Venues for Oral French, Arabic and Stenography I & IV from NECO State Office where they are sitting for the examination.
  • Candidates should come along with their Computer/Laptop for Stenography Paper I &IV to the specified venue.
  • The Nigerian languages, i.e. Hausa. Igbo and Yoruba include the Literature aspect.
  • BLIND CANDIDATES are to sit for the examination in their respective NECO State Offices and make use of the supplied Braille Sheets
  • The ALBINOS AND BLIND CANDIDATES are to be given 30 minutes extra time across all papers.
  • Use of Scientific Calculator is allowed.
  • PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATOR IS NOT ALLOWED.
  • BRINGING GSM INTO THE EXAMINATION HALL IS PROHIBITED.
  • For Technical Drawing I and IV, candidates should come with their drawing instruments and materials.
