Obajana Cement: Dangote is planning to wreck havoc in Kogi—The government

Cement objana: Kogi State Government has accused Dangote Group of plotting to cause chaos throughout the state in response to the Obajana Cement Plant’s closure.
In a statement released on Saturday by Kingsley Fanwo, the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, the Kogi State Government said that the Dangote Group is also planning to alter documents to show that they own the cement company 100%.

Fanwo claimed that the conglomerate concluded its plans to use the media to target Governor Yahaya Bello and the state government regarding the cement factory at a meeting on Friday night.
According to the commissioner,At a meeting last night, we discovered some of the Dangote Group’s plans to cause chaos throughout the state as a response to the state government’s decision to acquire its own legally supported equity from the Obajana Cement Company.
“The Dangote Group’s failure to misinform the general public and its shareholders, despite the state government’s consistent and ongoing presentation of the facts to the general public, led to the development of the most recent strategy.
“A Dangote Group staffer in high management erroneously called a high-ranking government official as the meeting was continuing to hatch their satanic plans against the Kogi State government and people.
The call that was received at 10.06 p.m.continued for 28 minutes, 12 seconds, outlining their plan to alter documents in order to demonstrate their 100 percent ownership of the cement company;how they intend to arrest high-ranking government officials on frivolous charges by utilizing the DSS and other security agencies;how they intend to use the EFCC to detain some government employees in order to silence them;how they also intend to use the media to spread lies about the government and people of Kogi State, as well as various other satanic schemes against our dear state’s people and government.
Fanwo went on to say that the resolutions that were passed at their meeting “obliterated the agreement between the Kogi State Government and the Dangote Group;a strategy to target the Kogi State Government and Governor through the media.”
“They planned to send people to the country’s major television stations to attack Kogi State’s governor and government;”They planned to call the EFCC and DSS today to say that the people who sealed the company on the House of Assembly’s orders stole N207 million and should be arrested by those agencies;Additionally, they made the decision to launch civil and criminal proceedings against a few government officials.
“In the end, they decided to use their trucks to block all of the state’s major highways, making it impossible for the governor to leave the state capital.”We will prove to him that his madness cannot match our own,” they said.During the meeting, they stated that Dangote owns Nigeria and that no one can stop him.
Fanwo also said that Dangote Group distorted the facts about the company’s acquisition.
He asserts, “The mindset of economic oppressor who thinks he could use every apparatus of the Federal Government to fight our dear state into submission is typified by the over 28 minutes recorded meeting.”Because some people think they own Nigeria and can get away with anything they do, the country is what it is today.
“We dare to say that if the Dangote Group attempts to carry out any of his threats or deny our claims above, which are supported by facts, we will release images and audio of the aforementioned meeting so that the entire world will see the mindset and mode of operation of Alhaji Aliko Dangote and his conglomerate,” the statement reads. We are a people who cannot be destroyed by the whims and caprices of the Dangote Group’s capitalist dominance.
“One of the plans hatched at the meeting was to use Dangote trucks to block all major highways in Kogi State from today to make life unbearable for the people of the state and also launch attacks on commuters across the state in order to cow the state government into submission in the ongoing ownership determination battle for the Obajana Cement Company,” according to the Dangote Cement Plant and the MAN Obajana Cement Factory.
The commissioner went on to say that the Kogi State Government would take legal action to stop the “act of cowardice of the Dangote Group to harass, intimidate, or harm the people of Kogi State for demanding their rights,” and that the government would continue to defend the state’s rights to freedom of movement and safety.
However, he urged security agencies to remain vigilant to prevent a breakdown in the state’s law and order.
Fanwo stated:We have everything we need to win the battle, so we want the agitation to reclaim our equity at Obajana to be peaceful.
“Security agencies should resist the temptation of being used by the Dangote Group to harass government officials and our people as conceived at the ill-fated meeting,” according to the statement.
In addition, the commissioner urged Kogi State residents to maintain their composure, stating that the state government was prepared to “fight this economic battle successfully.”
