Festus Keyamo, a spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has criticized the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for a statement he made during a meeting with CAN leaders.
Atiku blamed Nigerians for their own woes for electing the ruling APC to power in 2015 during an interactive session with CAN leaders in Abuja on Tuesday.
He insisted that the APC has failed to address insecurity, reorganize the country, or combat corruption, and that the party does not uphold the promises it made to Nigerians eight years ago.
Keyamo, on the other hand, stated in an interview with The Punch that in response to Atiku’s attack, it was evident that the PDP flagbearer was running out of new strategies for dealing with the APC.
The Clergyman of State for Work and Business said Atiku neglected to propose rebuilding when he was in government for a very long time and doesn’t reserve the option to denounce the decision party.
As a result, Keyamo asked the former vice president to show a document in which he proposed reorganization, such as true federalism and state police.
“Atiku is telling old tales by moonlight,” he said. One, he ought to show us a document in which he proposed restructuring while they were in government during his eight years as vice president. After all, he’ll say that it was a joint ticket between Obasanjo and Atiku. He ought to be ready to accept responsibility for their failure now as well. Thus, they neglected to begin the interaction or make any meaningful difference either way with rebuilding, including genuine federalism and state police.
“We have not done that, but their regime is also known for removing the president of the Senate and the speakers of the House of Representatives like someone changing wrappers.Since we arrived, we have not removed any.Atiku has no right at all to bring up restructuring issues once more.He won’t do it now if he didn’t do it in the past.
