Tinubu Intensifies Plot To Oust APC’s Adamu As Osinbajo, Amaechi, Mustapha Snub Campaign

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, is said to have begun efforts to remove and replace Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s National Chairman.

According to reports, the APC’s open support for Senate President Ahmad Lawan during the party’s presidential primaries led to a running battle between Tinubu and Adamu.
Tinubu and some governors, according to sources, are already looking for the chairman’s replacement and may meet with President Muhammadu Buhari soon to discuss the plan to remove Adamu.
Over Adamu’s fate, the inner caucus of Tinubu is currently deeply divided.A source told Daily Sun that Governor Simon Lalong, the Director-General of the APC PCC, and some members of the NWC are urging caution, while APC governors and Christian leaders are calling for his replacement.
The source continued, “Trys by party leaders to mediate and close ranks between the two have failed since Tinubu’s sudden emergence.”
Adamu was accused of failing to effectively manage the party crisis by a close ally of Tinubu who is also a member of the APC PCC.
He stated, “Even from the beginning, he did not support Tinubu. He continues to undermine him internally.Tinubu can’t stand by and watch as that goes on.Members of the party who have been wronged still need to be reconciled.Adamu is unable to resolve the conflict between the party and former presidential hopefuls.
Instead, he is so obsessed with the composition of the Presidential Campaign Organization that he acts as though that is what he was elected to do.Adamu must leave if APC must win.He cannot guarantee the party’s success in the general elections next year.
We do not currently have the support of significant Christian government officials.Adamu and the NWC are unable to persuade them to back Tinubu’s candidacy. What kind of chairman does that represent?”
Osinbajo, Amaechi Against Tinubu According to the source, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, Lawan, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, are not outright supporting Tinubu.
Numerous senators and House members, according to Tinubu’s ally, are not working for the APC presidential candidate.
He added that one of the arguments being made for Adamu’s removal was that the party needed to balance religious biases.
A source stated:It is anticipated that crucial decisions will be made at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).Adamu’s fate will be one of them. One of the reasons he is delaying that meeting is because the chairman is aware of it.
If you recall, governors of the APC did not want him to serve as chairman. They only complied with Buhari’s request.Additionally, Adamu has not met expectations. He needs to clear the way for someone else to step in and drive the campaign.
Additionally, it has been alleged that the APC only fielded Muslims.Leaders of the party think it needs to change. If we are successful in persuading President Buhari, Adamu might be asked to resign soon.
Tinubu is currently absent. We can’t make a decision until he returns because we are his most ardent supporters. However, he appears to be with us, as we have informed him. When he returns, he will consider both arguments and decide what is best for everyone.
