Trevor Noah Will Resign From His Position As The Daily Show Host The comedian Trevor Noah has made the decision to step down from his position.
Noah stated that although he was “filled with gratitude for the journey,” there was “another part of my life that I want to continue exploring.”
Since taking over from Jon Stewart in 2015, the 38-year-old has been the host of the satirical news and talk show.
He stated that he would continue as host in the interim and that he would announce his departure date in the future.
Before moving to the United States in 2011, Noah began his career in his home country of South Africa, where he hosted a late-night talk show and released a number of stand-up specials.
When he was chosen to take over the Daily Show on the Comedy Central network, he was still relatively unknown, but he has since become a star with international recognition and won numerous television awards.
