Nigeria’s University of Benin (UNIBEN) is a federal university for the first time. In 1970, it was established. It started out as an Institute of Technology before the National Universities Commission (NUC) made it a full-fledged university on July 1, 1971.

For the post-UTME screening process, only candidates who applied for admission to the university as their first choice in the most recent UTME and received a minimum of 200 marks are eligible.
