UNIZIK to mount CCTV in classrooms and offices following sexual harassment allegations

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State has initiated the process of mounting Close Circuit Television (CCTV) in offices and classrooms to curb the rate of sexual harassment of students by lecturers.
The school has also launched an Operation Speak Out project to give victims the opportunity to expose the culprits.
The university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone, said the initiatives are meant to checkmate unruly activities.
Esimone also said the projects became necessary because most students are afraid that lecturers might victimize them more if they talked.
