Another member of the Nigerian Army’s personnel has been detained for collaborating with terrorists.
The soldier, who is believed to be in his 30s and hails from Benue State, has been identified as Iorliam Emmanuel.
In Mainok town, Emmanuel is a member of the 156 Task Force Battalion, which is involved in Operation Hadin Kai.
Borno State’s Kaga Local Government Area’s headquarters are located in Mainok, 60 kilometers from the state capital, Maiduguri.
Emmanuel was found with clothing tied around his waist and concealed ammunition in a bag.
Colleagues expose the bullets that the suspect concealed inside and under his uniform in a viral video.
For smuggling military supplies to terror gangs, he is likely to face court martial.
Months after a soldier was discovered assisting the West Africa Province (ISWAP) of Boko Haram/Islamic State, the arrest was made.
According to the Army, instructor Lance Corporal Jibrin took his own life while being escorted to the barracks.
In April, intelligence revealed that Jibrin was involved in the killings at some Yobe State relaxation spots.
Ten people were killed in the attacks that occurred in Geidam and Gashua towns within five days.
