JAMB Set to Release Initial 2024 UTME Results on Monday

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is poised to release the initial batch of results for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday. This announcement was confirmed by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who is scheduled to hold a press conference in Abuja to discuss the release details and address related issues.

The results set for Monday’s release are expected to be those of candidates who sat for the examination during its early stages. The remaining results will be issued subsequently after thorough verification processes to ensure their integrity. This includes checks for impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other potential malpractices, as stated by the board.

Historically, JAMB released UTME results within a day or two following the examination. However, in recent years, the board has opted to delay results to conduct detailed reviews. This change aims to uphold the credibility of the examination outcomes and tackle any irregularities.

The 2024 UTME commenced on Friday, April 19, and will conclude on Monday, April 29. Over 1.9 million candidates have participated this year, taking their exams across more than 700 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers nationwide.
