Osinbajo, Amaechi, Ganduje, Absent At APC Presidential Campaign Council Inauguration

On Friday, the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) was unveiled, but some prominent APC chieftains were unable to attend.
Earlier, Akahi News reported that the ruling party launched its presidential campaign council on Friday after much anticipation.
Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transportation, the Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, were not present at the event.
Ogbonnaya Onu, the former Minister of Science and Technology,
Ahmed Lawan, the president of the Senate, and Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the House of Representatives, are among those in attendance.Others include Mr. Simon Lalong, the Director-General of the PCC and governor of Plateau State; Atiku Bagudu, the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum and governor of Kebbi State; and Nasir El-Rufai, his counterpart in Kaduna State.
Bisi Akande, the party’s former National Chairman, and Ken Nnamani, a former Senate President, were among others present.
Other members of the National Working Committee and other party departments were led to the event by Senator Adamu Abdullahi, the APC’s National Chairman.
The Telegraph spoke with people close to Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, who said that efforts are being made to bring in members of the party who have been wronged.
The source stated, “We are not resting on our laurels on this because we are aware of some discontent within the party over the emergence of Asiwaju as the candidate of the party.”Yes, we are working on it.Governor El-Rufai has provided us with the necessary assurances to assist in this regard.According to a close associate of the Vice President, Osinbajo was absent due to President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive requesting that he not participate in the PCC.
