During his homily, Rev. Olusola urged the faithful to remain vigilant, emphasizing that the manifestation of Christ should be evident in His word, Sacrament, and their way of life. He stressed God’s boundless mercy, highlighting that God redeems sinners regardless of the gravity of their transgressions. The deacon cautioned against being swayed by worldly distractions, urging Christians to recognize God’s mercy amid hardship and economic challenges.

Rev. Olusola reminded the congregation of their gift of diligent service in God’s house, received from the Lord. He encouraged them to steadfastly reject hatred, violence, and other negative behaviors, characterizing them as sources of sorrow. Aligning with this message, Associate Priest Rev. Fr. Vincent Ekeneme, on December 10, emphasized the importance of following God’s precepts for experiencing His restoration. He urged believers to address obstacles on their journey to salvation, drawing a parallel with the Israelites, where a brief journey could become prolonged due to numerous hurdles.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Peter Adeyemi, in his address, emphasized that any preparation for the birth of Christ should be undertaken in the company of Mary. He urged the faithful to open their hearts to receive the child Jesus with tenderness and vulnerability, clarifying that Jesus’ arrival is not that of a powerless infant.
