Wofai Fada ignores in-laws’ disclaimer ties the knot traditionally with Taiwo Cole

  • Photos and videos from the gleeful ceremony has since gone viral with many congratulating the new couple.
  • This comes after a public statement was purportedly issued by the family of the groom where they distanced themselves from the marriage.

Nollywood actress cum comedian, Wofai Fada has ignored her in-laws’ disclaimer and has traditionally wedded her lover, Taiwo Cole, without their blessings.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported on Saturday, May 4, that the movie star had announced her upcoming nuptial to the love of her life, Taiwo Cole.

Wofai, via her Instagram page, shared photos of herself and her boo. In one of the photos, Wofai flaunted her engagement ring, while in another, she gave a back view of her and her boo.

Following the announcement, Wofai Fada’s in-laws had reportedly issued a disclaimer to reject her marriage to their son.

The statement noted that all acquaintances, family and friends are not aware of any marriage between their son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole and Wofai Fada, and neither was any permission granted in this regard. They advised the public to disregard any publications and documents being circulated about the wedding.

Ignoring their disclaimer, the comedian has gone ahead to tie the knot with her boo. Photos and videos making rounds online showed the couple dressed in Ugep culture, Cross River attire.

Despite the online drama, the movie star looked so happy to be marrying the love of her life.

Wofai Fada adds to the list of celebrities who have tied the knot this year.

In March, Big Brother Naija Level Up housemate, Queen, held her wedding introduction in her hometown in Akwa Ibom, which had in attendance some of her colleagues like Nini Singh.

The introduction was followed by their civil wedding at the Federal Marriage Registry, Lagos, with friends, family, and close ones of the couple in attendance. The civil wedding was followed by a dinner with some of Queen’s colleagues in attendance.
