CCPT Has Intervened To Prevent Multichoice From Raising Subscription Fee
The Tribunal has intervened to prevent MultiChoice from raising subscription fees for DStv and Gotv services.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT) in Abuja issued a ruling on Monday preventing Multi-Choice Nigeria Limited from implementing its planned price hikes and increases for products and services set to take effect on May 1st.
The interim order was granted by a tribunal consisting of three members, with Saratu Shafii as the presiding officer. This decision came after an ex-parte motion was presented by Ejiro Awaritoma, who is the legal representative of Festus Onifade, the applicant.
