Residents stranded as fuel scarcity bites hard in Lagos (photos)
Nigerians in Lagos and other parts of the country were stranded on Monday due to fuel scarcity.
Photos from different bus stops in Lagos showed commuters waiting for buses for hours.
More photos show commuters trekking as an alternative to get to work.
Photos taken at many filling stations show that they remained under lock and key throughout the weekend. Those that opened had long lines of cars, waiting to buy fuel.
Meanwhile, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has said that the fuel scarcity being experienced across the country will last for two more weeks (read here).
