Yesterday, a man shot and killed his younger sibling while testing the effectiveness of a gun charm he had just made, causing a commotion in the Kaiama local government area of Kwara State.

The State Police Command is said to have already started a search for Abubakar Abubakar, who is accused of shooting Yusuf Abubakar, 12, and then fleeing the scene.
According to reports that were made available to journalists, Abubakar had recently created a charm that could shield one from being shot. The two brothers, who live in Dutse Gogo Town, reportedly went out to test the charm’s efficacy, delighted by his new work.
Vanguard claims that the two are the sons of a hunter. It was anticipated that Abubakar’s charm would prevent gunshots from striking and killing anyone.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with the media platform, the charm didn’t work on Abubakar’s younger brother, got into his body, and he died right away.
According to reports, the older brother fled right away into the bush to avoid the community’s ire.
Ajayi Okasanmi, the spokesman for the Kwara State police command, confirmed the incident and stated that the matter has been the subject of an investigation, as directed by CP Paul Odama, the Commissioner of Police for Kwara State.
However, Okasanmi urged guidance counselors and parents across the state to keep an eye on their children’s activities to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
